There is no charge to participate in our network of penny free businesses.
Following our guide lines is strictly voluntary. But, as a gesture of your willingness to participate in the
movement, we ask that you agree to abide by the following rules .....
- With all CASH sales, you pledge, at a minimum, not to give pennies as change.

- If you do not use POS software ...
manually round (up or down) all cash transaction totals (after tax) to a coin denomination
greater than a penny (i.e. nickel)
- If your POS software is hard coded to round to only pennies ...

- If your POS software is configurable to rounding (up and down) to a denomination other than a penny ... configure your POS
software to round (up or down) all transaction totals (after tax) to a coin denomination
greater than a penny (i.e. nickel or dime)
- We ask you to be fully transparent about your policy by posting our program informational signage and logo on your front door
and on your customer counter(s)
- We ask you to place our PennyFreeBiz.com logo on your business website with a link
for your customers to follow back to our website where they can learn more.
What we would like you to not do..
As a member of our PennyFreeBiz program ask ask that you not charge a before
tax itemized "Rounding Fee" to an item's cost.
- Whether you accept pennies in trade as payment is strictly up to you and is not part of this program.
- Credit Card transactions are not part of this program.
- Item sales/price tags can be marked anyway you like.
